Macaulay Culkin Supports Fiancée Brenda Song at TIFF Premiere of Her New Film The Last Showgirl

Brenda Song didn’t attend her latest film premiere alone—she was accompanied by Macaulay Culkin!

On Friday, September 6, the 36-year-old actress celebrated the premiere of The Last Showgirl at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, sporting a coordinated black outfit with her longtime partner.

At the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Song, who stars in the new film directed by Gia Coppola alongside notable actors like Pamela Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Dave Bautista, posed for affectionate couple photos with Culkin, 44.

For the occasion, Song dazzled in a black spaghetti-strap dress adorned with crystals, while Culkin opted for a classic black suit, complete with black glasses and a partially unbuttoned dress shirt. In the photos, Culkin wrapped his arm around Song’s waist, and she placed her hand on his chest.

The couple also featured in afterparty snapshots shared by Song’s costar Curtis, 65, where Song changed into a black suit with metallic accents. Dating since 2017, the pair are parents to two children: Dakota Song Culkin, 2, and another son born in December 2022.

During the premiere, Song spoke with Canadian entertainment show Etalk about the support she receives from Culkin and her loved ones as she celebrated her latest film.

“I’m so fortunate to have such wonderful support from my partner and my family. I couldn’t do anything without them,” she expressed. “I think about my parents taking care of my kids right now. None of this would be possible without a whole team of people supporting me.”

The Last Showgirl, written by Kate Gersten, tells the story of Anderson’s character, Shelley, a Las Vegas showgirl with a 30-year career who is “the feather and crystal–adorned centerpiece of Sin City’s last remaining traditional floor show,” according to the official synopsis. As noted by IMDb, this film marks Song’s first role since 2022’s Love Accidentally and her first screen appearance since providing voice work for Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai in 2023.
